1st Workshop held at Santiago de Compostela, 12-13 December 2009
The first workshop in this projected was held in Santiago de Compostela, December 12-13, 2009. The workshop was hosted by Felipe Criado Boado and Alfredo González-Ruibal at the Heritage Laboratory, Spanish National Research Agency (LaPa-CSIC). In addition to the members of the project team scholars and students associated with the Heritage Laboratory took part in the workshop. During our two long days of meeting a number of issues were discussed: the project outline and organization, the case studies, future conferences and fieldwork. We also had some very productive discussions of central concept in our research – materiality, aesthetics, heritage and memory. A preliminary version of the wiki was presented and a number of suggestions for further development proposed. Suggestions for venues for future workshops were also discussed. Most likely the next workshop will be held in Berlin or London, November 19-21, 2010.
